As the Plant Manager and being employed with the same independently owned reusable textile rental business for over 25 years,  I have witnessed so many changes in our company. Some of the changes come in the way we conduct business and handle our employees. Other changes in our company are how we have grown the business, reinvested in the business to continue to have a competitive edge to stay in business without sacrificing quality.

All reusable textile services are up against fierce competition everyday so this really pushes the need to be the best.

Many things we have done in our push to become the best is the following.

1-Receiving our HLAC accreditation. When dealing with many healthcare accounts this has become very important not only to the safety and well-being of our employees but to all of our healthcare customers  that rely on our company to provide clean quality sanitary linens to help reduce infections.

2- We are now ISO compliant. This was something we wanted to achieve to make sure that we provide the same great service for our customers, great quality, on time deliveries, and great products and do this in a consistent fashion.

3-Many employee training and benefit programs have also been put in place such as, safety committees, employee recognition, drug training, wellness programs and health fairs. The president of the company also takes the extra steps to have quarterly meetings with all employees to let them know the state of the company, upcoming events within the company and other benefits that the company has to offer.

4-Many equipment upgrades and upgrades in the technology have really helped our company stay competitive and also helped in the safety of all our employees.

5-Our company has really made a big push to become more environmental friendly such as water reuse, recycling hangers, cardboard, plastics, paper and metal. We also offer paperless billing. Many changes were also made to equipment and lighting to save energy.

All the above makes me proud to be a part of the Millers Textile team and makes me believe we will reach our mission and will become the number one independently owned reusable textile company in the United States.
